Establish Broader
Perspective. Motivate Fundamental Innovation.
“Life Expectancy” has been prolonged these years due to the development of medical technology, improvement of environmental sanitation and enhancement of living standards. Therefore, the population of the elder people has increased as the mortality rate has gone down. In order to face the global challenge of the “Aging Society”, “Health” and “Well-being” have been raised as the main issues by United Nations. World Health Organization (WHO) has also raised the core value of “Active Aging” since 2002.
We need to have a forward-looking plan planned ahead to deal with the challenges like “aging population”, “change of family living style” and “transformation of society value” to fulfill the elder generation’s multi-needs to healthcare, long-term care, basic living support, internet connection, manpower re-utilization, exercise & leisure activities and assessable environment. However, according to the information released by the researches, we realized that there are still some points need to be improved in most of the nursing organizations and these are the reasons why people with the need still hesitate to do so.
Hopefully through the fair and righteous external accreditation, the citizens’ confidence in the society can be strengthened and the operation of the nursing center can be improved. To encourage the nursing center to have its own characteristics and understand the importance of self-management for quality assurance improvement, TWAEA has suggested related accreditation to build a safe, professional and satisfying nursing environment to ensure the residents’ needs can be met and the quality is enhanced.
Through the implementation of the accreditation made by the third party, the followings are the goals we want to accomplish.
In the future, we shall expand our vision to the global to be the pioneer in the field of Nursing Center Accreditation to assist the centers to enhance their quality.
