TWAEA has joined International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) and Asia Pacific Quality Network (APQN) since 2011 to be our first step toward the promotion of international exchange and visits. Then in 2012, we participated in Council for Higher Education Association, the CHEA International Quality Group (CIQG) and in 2013, we signed MOUs with both Japanese University Accreditation Association (JUAA) and Office for National Educational Standards and Quality Assessment (ONESQA) for not only the organization of seminars and workshops for faculties and staff, but also the enhancement of our international visibility. Till now, we’ve signed MOUs with Thailand, Japan, Russia, New Zealand, China and Germany to have more communications with international associations and knowledge exchange.

Besides carrying out the projects commissioned by different ministries, we regularly organize seminars and workshops to have outstanding international experts and accreditation associations to share with us their valuable experiences. Through the activities as MOU signing, exchange visit, observer exchange and joint accreditation, we hope to make the best use of our resources and experiences to perfect our professional works with useful feedback to benefit our society.

After participating in Asia Pacific Quality Network (APQN) in 2011, we’ve begun much substantial cooperation with other international associations. Besides publishing papers related to accreditation in international conferences and participating in external audits held by foreign accreditation associations, international experts are also invited to join our seminars and be our observers in our site visits to share with us their valuable experiences. In 2013, APQN started to hold the awards for quality assurance and we had won the award of “Best Contribution to Internationalization” in 2014 which was a positive confirmation to our diligent efforts to accreditation.

Through the development of this platform, TWAEA wants to accomplish the following missions by working closely with international associations to enhance our professional knowledge and technology in accreditation.

• Promoting international accreditation for cross-border development;
• Rooted in Taiwan to have broader horizon to expand our opportunities to the world.
