TWAEA Arranged for Representatives from Thai Government Agencies to Visit Lunghwa University of Science and Technology

As the official education organization in Thailand faces important transformation, it is imperative to understand the challenges of developing practical education and quality assurance system. In view of this, TWAEA arranged for OHEC (Office of the Higher Education Commission) representatives to Visit Lunghwa University of Science and Technology (LHU) on 17^th September, 2019.

In the briefing and discussion, Dr. Tzu-Hsiang Ko, the president of LHU, emphasized that the school adheres to the fundamental characteristics of practical education and does the best to cultivate students with an eye on society and industry. Dr. Ru-Jen Lin, the vice-president for administrative affairs of LHU, conveyed the school's investment and efforts in practical education and internal quality assurance. The two sides have also exchanged views on the promotion of quality assurance system.

After sharing opinions on quality assurance and possible improvements, LHU staff led the representatives to visit the D-R-E-A-M (Dedication – Respect – Enthusiasm – Ambition - Motivation) Library and the exhibition hall of patent inventions. The participants have learned about the features and practical education of Taiwan’s technical universities through the on-site visit and discussion on quality assurance mechanism.
