Perspective. Motivate Fundamental Innovation.
In recent years, Taiwan Assessment and Evaluation Association (TWAEA) has actively moved towards the internationalization of higher education quality assurance. In addition to promoting international joint certification, it has participated in international seminars to understand the latest developments and trends in international higher education quality assurance. At the European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF) hosted at Technische Universität Berlin (TU Berlin), Germany, TWAEA specially appointed assistant researcher Jan Fell to attend. The European Quality Assurance Forum is annually held by the European University Association (EUA), the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), the European Association of Institutions in Higher Education (EURASHE) and the European Students' Union (ESU), acting as a communication platform among institutions, assessment agencies, governments and scholars to provide the latest higher education quality assurance and promote international cooperation opportunities.
This year's forum specifically raised the issue of "Assisting Social Participation in Higher Education." A total of 520 representatives from 25 countries participated in the discussion; Spain, Ireland, Croatia, and France shared their school experiences with others. TWAEA is the only East Asian assessment agency attended this forum. By participating in the European Quality Assurance Forum, TWAEA actively establishes the bridge for cooperation with European assessment agencies, and draws heavily on the development experiences from European higher education, and also enhances the visibility of Taiwan's higher education in the world, with a view to promote further international cooperation in the future.
