Led by Chairman Dr. Shen-Li Fu, a TWAEA delegation visited Tokyo, Japan, to explore five distinguished universities in the Kanto region, including University of Tsukuba, Komazawa University, Shobi University, The University of Tokyo, and Tokyo Institute of Technology. During the visit, the delegation also met with the Japan Association of National Universities to gain insights into higher education policies, particularly the corporatization of Japan’s national universities. Through cross-border and inter-institutional exchanges, the delegation aimed to learn from international best practices in university governance and strategic institutional management. This initiative serves as a valuable reference for Taiwan’s higher education development, with the goal of enhancing the global competitiveness of Taiwan’s universities.

Supervisor, Dr. Jin-Chuan Lin, led a delegation of 19 academic representatives on a study visit to the University of Tsukuba, Toyo University, Kanda University of International Studies, Chiba Institute of Technology, Sophia University, and the University of Tokyo in Japan. The visit aimed to gain insights from Japan’s long-standing experience in university governance and institutional research, with a focus on international expansion, enhancing teaching effectiveness, and developing unique institutional strengths. Through this exchange, the delegation sought to explore strategies to further advance Taiwan’s higher education sector toward a more innovative and globally competitive future.

Chairman, Dr. Shen-Li Fu, led a delegation to Tokyo, Japan, visiting Kagawa Nutrition University, Taisho University, Toyo University, and Rissho University. During the visit, the delegation also engaged in discussions with the Private University Consortium and the Association of Private Universities of Japan, fostering exchange and collaboration on higher education governance. Additionally, they held a roundtable discussion with scholars who were then serving as central advisory committee members of Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT). The visit aimed to facilitate mutual learning and growth in university administration and research, strengthening academic cooperation between Taiwan and Japan.

The visit aimed to foster academic collaboration and enhance university governance and strategic planning in Taiwan’s higher education sector.

Focusing on the theme of "Teaching Quality and Learning Outcomes," the delegation engaged in meetings and discussions with representatives from these institutions to exchange insights on educational quality assurance, student learning assessment, and institutional effectiveness.
