Connecting the Asia-Pacific Quality Assurance Community｜Strengthening Regional Cooperation｜Enhancing International Visibility
The Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN) is a leading professional network for higher education quality assurance in the Asia-Pacific region. It is committed to strengthening professional capacity and advancing quality assurance practices across the region. Through member engagement, international conferences, professional publications, capacity-building initiatives, and the sharing of good practices, APQN facilitates knowledge exchange and cross-border collaboration among quality assurance agencies, higher education institutions, and other relevant organizations, contributing to the continuous enhancement of higher education quality throughout the Asia-Pacific.
TWAEA joined APQN in 2011, formally becoming part of the Asia-Pacific quality assurance community. Since then, it has actively participated in regional professional exchange and knowledge sharing. In 2014, TWAEA received the Quality Award for International Co-operation in Quality Assurance, recognizing its achievements in advancing cross-border quality assurance cooperation and international engagement. TWAEA’s experience in conducting external quality assurance reviews in Macao was subsequently selected as an international good practice, demonstrating its capacity to apply professional review expertise across different higher education systems.
Since 2023, TWAEA has continuously contributed to APQNews, sharing major activities, international cooperation outcomes, and institutional developments. Through its continued engagement with APQN, TWAEA strengthens its professional connections with quality assurance partners across the region and enhances the international visibility of Taiwan’s experience in higher education quality assurance.
